What we choose to wear is one of the single most telling expressions of who we are, and that’s why, no matter what you wear, we want it to look and feel perfect, just like you.

Tallgrass Tailor provides high quality, consistent and convenient alterations from hemming to waist adjustments, altering sleeve lengths, attaching patches and so much more. In addition to alterations, we create custom mens clothing which can be explored here. We specialize in providing great customer service, a comfortable fitting experience, and of course excellent sewing. MEET THE TAILOR SHAELYNN HANING

Hi I’m Shae, and I’m so glad you’re here!

The journey to now has been daunting, exciting, and above all filled with fun and creative twists and turns. To read more about my lead-up to present day, check out my back story here.

As for the current day nuts and bolts, here’s a rundown of who I am:

Shaelynn Haning is a female business owner, tailor, and YouTube show host promoting the growth and evolution of the garment industry and skilled trades.

Shaelynn is the founder of the highest rated, most reviewed alterations and tailoring service in Oklahoma, Tallgrass Tailor, employing a talented team of skilled craftsmen and women from across the country and world.

She hosts a YouTube Channel, the Sew Show with Shae, with over 2.5 million views and counting providing fun, educational, and entertaining sewing videos that are translated through closed captions into 50+ languages for audiences across the world.

Shaelynn hopes to spread the knowledge and value of all skilled trades as a member of the State of Oklahoma Education Careers and Technologies Board and as a member of the Custom Tailors and Designers Association.

Shae is the Board Chair for Rising Village, a non-profit helping individuals immigranting to our country to become housed, employed and active members of our community and RiSE; Refugee Sewing Enterprise, a sewing skills training program intended to help women and mothers find purposeful employment.

Shae is also a frequent contributor and co-author on all things sewing, fashion, and textile related.

Shaelynn graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Apparel Design and Product Development minoring in Sustainability. She and her husband, Army Maj. Garrison Haning are lifelong Trekkies, board game enthusiasts, and proud national parks passport holders. They live on Tulsa time in Oklahoma with their Australian shepherd, Bright and son, Seneca.
