2. Schedule your fitting

Click here to schedule now. Turnaround time on all Bridal services is at minimum 6 weeks.

  • Fittings will last 1 hour and you are welcome to bring your rehearsal outfit or other bridal attire needing alterations as well.

  • Once you’ve picked out your dress you are welcome to schedule an appointment as soon as possible!

  • Wedding Dresses cannot be rushed and require a minimum of 6 weeks from the initial fitting.

3. The fitting

Here’s what to bring to your fitting:

SHOES: You MUST bring your shoes, we cannot hem your dress without them! If your shoe height changes after hemming has been completed, additional cost will be incurred.

UNDERGARMENTS: All undergarments you plan to wear such as Spanx or shapewear

NO BRA (YAY!): Do not worry about finding a bra! We will take care of the girls with our own supplies so don’t spend any time looking for the right bra!

4. Pricing

We know bridal alterations can be scary but we’re trying to cut down on all the unknowns and prices is a big one! Click here to check out our full pricing page to get a feel for what you can expect.

At your fitting we will give you an exact quote before you leave for all services to be completed.

Due to the complexity of the alterations and the time invested in completing them; 25% of the quote cost of services will be due at the end of the first fitting.

5. Custom alterations

We are happy to discuss custom options during your appointment. All custom requests are subject to feasibility, time required and material availability.

Common custom requests include adding straps or sleeves, attaching additional lace or embellishments or adding sentatmental items to your gown (lace from grandma’s dress!).

Please bring inspiration photos and the exact fabric required for your project with you to your appointment.

Please note: We do not fully line garments. Examples include: lining sheer bodices or adding skirts.

6. Family and friends are welcome

Friends and family are welcome to come to any or all of your appointments. We recommend 2 guests or less in addition to the bride.

7. Your final fitting

We’ll make sure you know exactly when the dress will be done before you leave the shop after your first fitting. Plan to pick a time and date for the next or final fitting when you come for your first appointment.

Payment of 25% of the quoted price will be due during the first fitting appointment. The remaining 75% will be due upon final pick-up of your dress.

Finally, we will walk you through an actual bridal alterations fitting appointment in the video below:

β€œAbsolutely amazing! Tallgrass was recommended to me by the bridal shop I bought my wedding dress from. I drove 2 hours to come to this shop after reading reviews on numerous seamstresses. I ended up choosing a multi-point French bustle, which looked much better than the American or single point French bustle. I didn’t realize it at the time, but apparently Tallgrass is one of the only seamstresses in OK that does multi-point bustles. I would absolutely recommend Tallgrass to any bride.”
