Custom Project: Nebula Tie-Dye Collared Shirt
It was just another sunny afternoon at Tallgrass Tailor when this creative cloud started to form. In walked Shephard, bag slung from his shoulder, eyes full of ideas and dreams. He reached into his bag pulling yardage of magnificently hand-dipped, tie-dyed cotton in bursts of dusty purples, grays and sunset pinks splashed across a white backdrop. Like an explosion of a star, we were reminded of a nebula bursting with color.
When asked where such a gorgeous fabric was acquired, he mentioned an artist and friend who made this hand-dyed material. He loved her creations and had to have a piece to call his own, not knowing what he would do with the yardage. He came to Tallgrass Tailor in hopes of creating something he could enjoy more often out of his friend's fine work. After inquiring on his style, we immediately knew a collared shirt would be the perfect way to give this piece a functional life. Shephard agreed it was exactly what he was hoping for.
After a couple measurements and fittings, the “nebula shirt” began to take interstellar shape.
Every detail from the custom fit…
